Exam details
Indian Bank will take the main examination for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance (PGDBF) programme 2017-18 for Probationary Officer posts on 28 February 2017. The selection of eligible candidates is to  be done through Pre, Main exam and interview. This tests will be held at various centres in India. The admit card / call letter for the Main examination will be out on 16 February 2017.

Call letters for the Preliminary Exam/ main Exam/ Personal Interview will be issued to all eligible candidates through electronic mode only. They will not be sent by post. Candidates are advised to download their call letter from the bank’s website by entering Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth. Along with the call letter, information hand-out will also be released.
Earlier Indian bank had invited applications for admissions to the one year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) course at Indian Bank Manipal School of Banking (IBMSB), which has been set up jointly by Indian Bank and
Manipal Global Education Service Pvt Ltd.. The no. of candidates who will be recruited are 324. After successful completion of course, candidates would be
offered appointment in the bank as Probationary Officer in Junior Management Grade / Scale-I.
Candidates have to qualify this written tests and interview to get admission to the course.

The Pre written exam will be of objective type. Here is the scheme:

Important details:
  • There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
  • Each candidate should obtain a minimum score in each section and also a minimum total score in preliminary as well as main exam in order to qualify the test.
  • Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut off marks will be decided by the bank.
